Nicky Wood, Carlton's junior team manager said: "Having junior teams is something that is very important to the cricket club. We are committed to keeping our legacy alive for many years to come. We're looking for girls and boys to join our junior teams so would be delighted for potential new players to get in touch".

A warm welcome back to the ladies from Carlton Cougars Rounders Club who following receipt of guidelines from Rounders England were able to resume training this week.

We need to renovate both our home and away dressing room floors. We have sourced suitable materials; we will carry out the work using our hard-pressed band of club volunteers.

Juniors Back in the Nets

On receipt of the ECB guidelines allowing use of outdoor Cricket facilities the club were quick to put in place a structure allowing our senior and junior players to book our outdoor training net facilities.

🏏Juniors update from Nicky Wood Lambe 🏏

Following a fantastic year of cricket for our juniors last season, we started the new year with some excellent indoor training sessions being held at Outwood Grange Academy. Sadly, as Coronavirus took hold, we saw our last two sessions cancelled to prevent any risk of spreading the virus further.

I send warm greetings from me and our Management Committee, to all our players, members, parents and supporters of our special Club. We should have started our season today with the 1sts at Gomersal and the 2nds at Home to Great Preston, always a competitive side, whom we have not entertained for some years. I’m sure you are all feeling the same as me regarding the postponement of games and training sessions, let us hope we get started soon and save our thoughts for those who have suffered, illness and loss and particularly those who are on the front lines in our NHS.
