Training & Facilities 2018

After a fantastic season of events this year Carlton Cricket Club is looking forward to the new 2018 cricket season.

John Ward, Club Chairman said: “We are now firmly focussed on the 2018 cricket season and training will start in earnest in January. We are looking for players to join our indoor winter nets at Silcoates School in Wrenthorpe. Junior and senior players, boys and girls, are welcome every Tuesday night from 2 January until 27 March 2018, from 7.15pm to 8.45pm”.

Cricket is part of the history of this small village and the cricket club plans to develop its junior teams further next season.

Nicky Wood, Carlton's junior team manager said: "Having junior teams is something that is very important to the cricket club. We are committed to keeping our legacy alive for many years to come. We're looking for girls and boys to join our junior teams so would be delighted for potential new players to get in touch".

The Town Street Ground

Any cricketer will enjoy playing at our Town Street ground. The tracks are great, the bounce is true and the outfield is in perfect condition. Carlton Cricket Club has won the Thomas Mathers Ground Award for 2016. This officially means we have the best ground in the Bradford league in 2016. Many congratulations to our tireless groundsmen Martin, Ian and Roy.

"Cricket is the only game that you can put on weight when playing." Tommy Docherty

That is certainly the case at Carlton Cricket Club! Our tea ladies always put on a impressive spread. So much so that away teams often comment on how much they enjoy visiting Carlton. Our Clubhouse also has a bar with Sky Sports, BT Sports and real ale. So you can check your football coupon with a pint after the game.
